Gravity release date

I was watching the npwdrl this last weekend and it looks like there gate is Gravity operated and not spring. is that true and does anyone have a mod for that? It look like it would be more consistent on the release.

You are correct it is a gravity release. The whole gate was changed. I now operates on bearings. I know BSB used to make one like it. They are super consistent and have such a nice feel. I believe Stone Cold Racing made the one that is on John's track, it is a piece of art also.

I have one made by BSB. Very nice, very consistent down to the 1/1000th, but he is not making them any more, if you are looking to upgrade.

I don't think that BSB ever posted pics of the underside of his gate, but here's a short video he posted of one of them.

This was from a few years back, no idea if he made changes along the way. Looks like it works pretty darn smooth though!
