Ok, so now i get a chance to tell the story. I worked hard this year thnking back on what last years cars did. As usuall I was working all night before the race to finish cars. I will be better next year. The last par of cars built were fromt he saem block, one fromt he top and one from the bottom. One of those cars was to be the outlaw car but i decided time was not in my favor and just used it for teh basis of my tigers car. I did the axle and wheel prep using DD4H stuff and everything else was out of the box parts. I do not think i got the wheel bore part done right but I did do it. Cars were all canted rear raised wheel rail runner designs. I used the block to drill holes and added about 3 to 3.5 ounces of weight. Well When my bear ran his car it ran a 3.40 or something close. I was thrilled as this was a full .25 quicker than last year. a few heats later my tiger was up. As all dad's are I just wanted the cars to be fast and not be last. Well after his car one the heat up pops on the screen new track record. Wow I was stunned. In all out of six runs he continued to break the record each time three more times. Two runs messed up due to computer issues but the finish order was correct. At the end of the day my tiger was pack champ and his older brother a bear was third in the pack and we own the track record. Ironicly the pack second place finisher is a tiger also who has an older brother that is a bear also. To add to this both the boys mine and the other tiger who had the two fastest cars are both autistic and with this it just was great way to end his first PWD race. Now we have the district race to do in a month and we have to decide what to do to tune the car somemore before that race. It will be run on the same track so no issues there.

Congrats and great pics ... WOW those are some HOT Runs ...

Congratulations! Very Cool! Sounds like perfect use of Derby Dad products for fast cars. Well Done!

Thanks guys. My bear is really getting into the PWD stuff and wants to really crank it up, the tigers just cares about looks right now but likes the attention (being autistic). Receiving a recognition is something good for him as we home school him and his social interaction is limited. He is very proud of his car and trophy. I have some old junk cars and when i was doing stuff in the garage they would set up a track with a board and race them while i was working on stuff.
