Last year our car was a three wheel rail rider with the fourth wheel lifted. Is there much time to be gained by using a guide pin instead of the lifted wheel? Thanks
Whats alot B Regal. We usually run guide pins but i have done both ways for different races. I dont have my own track so i am curious what kind of a margin?
Over a full size BSA wheel with no shield, a guide pin is worth around .010. A little less if you were running a shield, maybe .006 since the shield is worth about .004.
A guide pin will always be faster so run one if the rules allow it.
