Hey guys. We sent our sons cars to the mid america nationals and it says it was received on Tuesday. We paid the registration fee online and packed the car properly and put a return shipping label inside. We wrote our sons name on the bottom of the car and included a letter with our phone number in case any problems came up. We registered under the open scout oil class. We watched the entire race and didn't see my sons car in the race. On top of being disappointed we are now wondering what happened. So if anyone can help us or guide us in the right direction please let me know. Thank you. And congratulations to all the people that got to participate in the races. The cars looked super fast this year.

Thanks man. It's the first time I've sent a car in but I think we did everything properly. My first thought was maybe it got disqualified. But then I thought wouldn't they call me and tell me why? I'm thinking maybe it got moved to the wrong race or maybe it never got entered at all. I dont know. It's been a long day and we're all kinda feeling down. We watched every race today and didn't see it anywhere. My 7 yrs old was in tears. At this point I'm just hoping he gets it back. He took first place in his other 2 races this year with that car so it means the world to him.
Mc Doodle, that is so sad, what a disappointment for your boy. Reach out to the event organizers . I am sure they can help

We did see that this weekend, cars being placed in the wrong class. It happens when the event is that large.Kinser Racing said:

I know you would have B Regal. It was my first race in the national level. From what I saw it seemed pretty well organized. If I knew anyones phone number that was there I would've been calling them lol. I did try to contact greg twice. I didn't realize there was a problem until the they ran most of the race. I got confirmation emails from the registration online so I thought everything was safe. I wish they had a list of names of what cars will be in the race. This way we could've checked beforehand.
that might be something useful for the proxy racers , a confirmation email that the car was checked in and passed inspection.
My wife just got off the phone with one of the event coordinators and this is what happened. Our package was received by the event coordinators but mistakenly didn't get brought to the race. It was a simple mistake and the gentleman we spoke with said this has NEVER happened before. He was very sympathetic and he said he will make it right. I appreciate his honesty and how he handled the situation. After speaking with my wife about it last night this is our conclusion. My son and I built an amazing car together. He helped with everything from picking the shape of the car, cutting the block, adding the weights, and painting and naming the car. That is what the pinewood derby is about!! There will always be another race. We've already looked and theres the 2ND annual pwd world Cup race in NYC in Times Square on June 25th i think. We will be attending that one for sure/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif So let's hope that next year we can integrate a list for proxy racers so that anyone who's mailed in a package and paid the registration is automatically put on a list that can be viewed BEFORE the race. Because the only way you can find out if you're in the race is to watch it online and see if it's there. Thank you guys for trying to help us locate it. I really appreciate it. And Glen if you're reading this a big thank you for trying to figure out a way to turn this negative situation into a positive one for my son.
