Hello everyone. I used to be a member of this forum a few months back but I lost my login details. So id like to reintroduce my myself... My name is Patrick and my son (Jacob) and I have learned so much from this forum. Bulldog, DD4H, Crash, and so many others have so much knowledge that we absorbed last year and we brought home 3 trophies. Our first car was the basic out of the box race with polishing tips, amd car design, etc but we still took first in the pack and 3rd overall. But the district race we went with a new car with the jig a loo trick and took home the gold. We were amazed and the smile on my sons face was worth all of it. He's not into sports or the usual kids stuff but he absolutely loves the Pinewood derby. We had a little hiccup last year at the nationals with the car getting lost so he was a little disappointed but the coordinators made up for all of that. We are just about to start our pack race in about 2 weeks and hopefully we qualify for the District race. And then we will get our chance again at the nationals. All the excitement has been built up over the year long wait and we couldn't be happier. So thank you to all you guys/gals who kept this forum going strong and am sure I'll be talking with you soon.
I remember speaking with you a few times also. Glad to see everyone is still here enjoying the pwd. I'm going to record the races this year with my sons pack as long as they say it okay. I will ask the pack leaders to see what they say but I would like to post them on youtube for everyone to watch. Best of luck to you and your daughter this year.
