Hey everyone! After a 23 hiatus from pwd racing, I jumped back in for a local brewery race. I took first place with a best time of 2.38 sec. on a standard 32' track. Here was my setup: car length 7", width 1.75" axle to axle 4.5" weight 5oz and ran skinny wheels. Front left wheel raised and set to RR. So I guess my question is how do I compare to others? What class would this setup run in? There were no rules besides length width weight and a to a. The bug has certainly bit me and I can't wait to build something faster for next year.

Hi Dierte!

That's awesome! Is the car your are talking about the one in your profile picture? If so I would guess that it might be an Eliminator or Unlimited class car.

It's impossible to compare times across different tracks. Among Pro racers we usually run on 5 or 6 different 42' Best Tracks among different leagues and races throughout the year. Even though the length and manufacturer of the track are all identical, every track is different. The only way to compare is to race on the same tracks that other pros racing on.

Congrats! Short answer: if you won the race, you were fast enough on that day! Ditto on what CWT said, it's impossible to compare different horses on different courses. Pick a league, check their rules and send a car in!
