How do I print a return shipping label?

Can someone help with a source/model # etc... for the adhesive labels?

Want to send in a car but have never done it before.

Would be nice to have a proxy racing for dummies thread pinned somwhere with this info.

Thanks.

Just print the label on paper and use the clear packing tape. It's much easier and you really don't have to source anything. /images/boards/smilies/thumb.gif

Part of it is in the NPWDRL part of the forum. Also go to the 5Kids website.
+1 You can get labels through usps via their web site, labeluniverse.com or Avery. Generaly 2 labels per sheet is what I use.

DoYouPrInt Onto A Lable OR Just Plain Paper And Package Tape Over It Once On Box

I use the self adhesive labels to make it easier on the guys boxing the cars back up.

+1

@Knothead: You can pick up these labels at Office Max, Office Depot, Target, Walmart, etc... Just look for the half sheet self-adhesive labels, in other words 2 labels per sheet. When printing them out choose to print without receipt, this way you get 2 labels per one sheet.

Does it still work to send a return label that is going to be valid in about 5 days before it is going to be used in about 10 days? I hope so, I could find better ways to get rid of money if I am just going to throw it away along with cars that I built with my kids. I called USPS customer service and about 1.5 hours later they got back to me and said it would not work. That is about 30 minutes after I sent the package with the prepaid return label. Is there now a better way to provide a return shipping label? The USPS website only provides about a 4 day window. I found this thread and decided to send the cars in with the soon to be invalid return fully paid for return label. I would like to get the cars back from Mid America. From what was said on this thread it should work. Correct?

Thanks,

Best of Luck to all!

This would be our first time via proxy and an out of the area race. My kids are nervous. I am starting to be.

Yes they will still take it. I mail all my cars with a return label that's dated before the race even starts b.c that's as far out as I can get.

Just as an example, the label for my last order from dd4h was generated on may 25th when I submitted the order. It wasn't received at a post office until April 13th. Other businesses with made to order products often do the same thing creating a label when they receive an order even if it takes a while to fulfill it and send out.

What!!! John took almost a year to fill an order? I don't believe it! /images/boards/smilies/wink.gif

Doh. Meant March not May. Must have inhaled too many fumes gluing fenders before I wrote that.
