What's tour wheelbase? How is your wheelbase positioned? What wheel mold # are you using? What are your wheel gaps? Can you use washers? What is your steer? How was your polish stored? What type of polish are you using for step one? Are you using Q-Tips or something different? What about your final bore polish? What bore polish are you using? How do you clean it out? Are you using oil? What type of oil, DD4H Krytox, Jig-A-Loo, Teflon spray, 3M Silicone Spray, some other spray, or graphite? Is it Johns graphite, or some other graphite? What type of track are you racing on? Is it wood, aluminum or plastic? What's the slope, is it a gradual slope or steep slope? Is the track set up well or are there bad joints in it? What's your process for polishing the axles? Are you going to be using grooved axles? Is your block drilled? Who did it and with what? What about your DFW? What degree of bend does it have in it? Is it a slight or a large bend? How is your COM? What weight are you using, tungsten, lead, or something other? Are you painting the car? Are you cutting it out to make it a ladder style? How thin are you making it? How wide are you making it? Are you using fenders? What kind of fenders? How big are they? What are the gaps for the fenders? How good are your skills at tuning and building? I'm sure there's more. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif
I'm not trying to be difficult. I'm just trying to point out that there are to many variables involved to give you a definitive answer. Will the 92x axles be faster? Yes! I don't think anyone can tell you by how much. But everything depends on everything else here. It's the right combinations that have to be figured out. Only you can do that. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif
I'll give you an example of the frustration that can go on with these cars. I preped and was in the process of tuning my Eliminator, I had bought a nice set of wheels and preped them with great care. I could not get the car to run any decent times. After about an hour or more of messing with and tuning the car, I decided to yank the wheels. I put the old wheels on it. They were dirty in the bores and were not repreped. Five minutes of tuning and the car was back to it's old times. What went wrong? I have no idea to this day. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif
This is the same type of theoretical question as, my car was this fast on this track, how fast will it be on the NPWDRL track. I'm sure there is probably some complex mathematical equation that could be worked out by Einstein to figure out these questions. But if one single variable is left out even he couldn't answer the question. I'm also pretty sure there are no Einsteins here on this board, though a couple of guys might be good. If you can, I always recommend getting the superior parts to the inferior ones. Good luck! /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif
