How much steer for Mid Am race?

Almost done with my daughter's car. She has to finish her part in the morning, then we assemble. And then I pay a metric arseload to get it there by Wednesday, lol.

We have a body that was .4 oz before fenders and CA, .7 after. Ladder style. Will have 2 rows of cubes in the back, roughly a 4.75 wheelbase. Mid-Am wheels and either .092 or .093 axles. Graphite class.

Now normally I'd just go 4" over 4', but enough folks here have run Mid Am that I was hoping for a little insight as to whether we can go a little less, or more...whatever the case may be.

So is 4" still the best "guess" or should we shoot for another figure?

My son's car was set at 4 inches last year. He came in 3rd in the Wolf division so you should be good to go. Good luck.

My scouts' cars are set at 3" of steer with about .010" wheel gaps in back. I have learned never to estimate steer without determining what my rear wheel gap is. That much steer with that narrow of a wheel gap is pretty conservative. My pro cars are running the same wheel gap with 2.75" steer on my SS and just over 2" on both BASX.
