Can someone please post some pics of what is the best method on how to route out weight pockets for tungsten cubes to be placed in the bottom of the car. And second what is the best methods for attaching the weights to the car, so they don't fall out. Thank you so much for your help/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

What tools do you have? (Dremel, router, drill, etc. This is one of those questions that can have many different answers depending on individual preference and tools available.

I have a Dremel Tool with a route head attachement, and I have a drill press and I have 3/8 inch drill. Which would be easiest and most efficient to use?

Thanks for the ideas, after I get the pockets cut. What do you guys suggest to attach the cubes so they don't fall out. I assum super glue like for the wheels, but I am not sure. Thanks

I use loctite 5 min epoxy

If you use a jig the Dremel won't get away from you. The area you are cutting is controled by which spacer is in the jig.

Are you using drilled axles holes? You should be. No glue on wheels ever! The only place to use super glue is in gluing fenders on. We use silver ducting tape, I think DD4H has some for sale. It's all you need to hold the weight in.

I was using the slots, but now I am going to drill slots using the "Silver Bullet" to get the cant right. I was just not fulling understanding how to get the tungsten cubes inserted properly and what to use to keep them in and stable. Old Geezer suggested "loctit 5 proxy". How does the silver ducting tape work?

the aluminum or stainless tape will hold the cubes in perfectly, and to remove them just peel the tape off. most auto part stores carry it, it may be refered to as muffler repair tape.

You can also get the aluminum duct tape from Lowes. Just cut the length you need to cover the area you want to cover apply the duct tape over the weight pockets filled with the cubes and squeegee the tape down with a credit card or something similar. Then cut off the excess tape hanging over the edge with a razor blade.

If you use the alumium tape can you paint over it and does it create any kind of drag on the car. Thanks
