How to shorten Axles

Need to shorten the rear axles based of my design, what is the best way to accomplish this.

Cutoff wheel in a Dremel tool and then round off or re-point on a grinding wheel

I am not a pro, but I agree with this ... if you only need .040”-.060”, then you can shorten using just the grinder. Be sure to sand/smooth any rough edges so you don’t damage a bore while installing an axle.

I drew out the car to put a 3oz tungsten disk all the way to the rear splits the axle 50/50

They are soft, either should work. just smooth the burrs.
