Racers,

Just for the record.. I'm not quiting racing...I had my air unit go out unexpectedly and set me back $2600. That's a have to fix deal... That's the only reason I'm selling a few car to help with some of the cost. The track I had FOR SALE was a extra track I had and didn't need , it SOLD... The cars I have FOR SALE ARE PRICED TO SALE QUICK... I had to get into my Derby Stash to help pay the HVAC unit... It drained it dry.. Completely...

Sorry to hear about the HVAC problem. It could have happened in July or August, which, I suppose, could be worse. These things never seem to happen when we have a little extra money to go around.

At least it was an extra track.

Man I'd check with someone. Like zeeb said. If you had a home inspection done, there's usually something that covers that stuff from within a few months of a home purchase. A couple of hours of looking into it would be worth the $2600.

Most inspectors are covered pretty good in their agreements. Especially if it isn't something that is visible. You'd really have to prove that they overlooked somerhing. To go after the sellers you'd have to prove they knew their was a problem. Plenty of AC units crap out right when they are getting started up after winter.

Shopping for a good home inspector can be as tedious as shopping for the house itself. I used one when I purchased my first house and after the inspection........well........the money I have spend towards this hobby was a better investment.

Good luck with the A/C unit; but it's one area I know nothing about.
