What the heck have you guys done!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Nobody told me that this stuff was highly addicting!! After kicking butt in the pack race, my son and I are both gearing up for the district race AND building a super fast car for his Awana race.

My wife is ready to have an intervention! She said last night that I have spent more on these cars than our real one! She's ready to take the credit card away and limit my internet usage.

I blame YOU!................(and totally thank you for all your professional advice).

Districts on Mar. 23 (need rules for Dad race) and then the AGP on Apr. 25. That's only four more cars...

Just wait till you have a track running through your bed room and into your bathroom. I'll take a picture next weekend. Its funny, too me anyways. Too my wife its crazy!!!

OK Curtis,
Send your best winning car into the Feb or Mar NPWDR race.
That happened to me last year, my grandson took first in Pack, District and Council, and broke the track record. So I sent his car in, and we ended up 36th out of 37.

We are now getting almost 50 cars in Street Stock. I'll be generous. Out of 50, I predict you won't be better than 30th. But then you will really become addicted.

I travel for work so I don't spend much time at home. To be able to compete at this level I take my track with me and set it up in my motel room. Who's addicted?

That's awesome!!!! I wonder what the maids say? I need to get a single or two lane one. The 4 lane I have takes up over half the door way.

no pics, but for awhile i was waiting for everyone to go to bed then setting up from the back of the bathroom through the hall, through the living room and 3 feet out the front door....i actually had to ask Tawnya to release the cars while using the toilet one time.....she was less than thrilled.

HOLY S^^@&$%$%!!!!

I needed a laugh and you guys certainly came through. I'm crying laughing as I type this. Are you serious? You had your wife or daughter release the cars from sitting on the toilet??????

I have no intention of running with the pros. I'm not that smart. My son and I are just riding the wave of good fortune, good advice and good products.

Still crying laughing..........

I forgot to mention that we not only went for a fast car but also a cool car. We live in Middletown Township, PA and we built a Middletown Township black and white police car, complete with working flashing lights!! It rocks and looks much like the real thing!! We got a lot of compliments on it during our pack race. We realize that we will most likely get spanked in districts. However, my son and I will have a ball. Our goal is to win 3 or 4 heats, maybe, and finish somewhere in the top half. Even if we don't, we've accomplished a lot this year and have had so much fun in the process. He's my best friend.

Next year, look out.......

yes, my wife started the cars from the throne.....she must really love me, or she is killing me with kindness.
blah

ZZ I know others that take their track with them as well... Nice Job!!! /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

Yeah, I second this. We just finished Districts and are already talking about building the next car. Will probably end up building three, a racer, a concours and a sibling! My wife is already telling us to give it a rest; we still have 360 days.
eeek

Id also like to give a big thanks to you guys for so willingly sharing your tips and experience. You guys rock!
clap

P.S. I had no idea Kinser was such a stud, until I looked at the NPWDL standings.... Wow

Hey Curtis,

Just to let you know, I'm the wife. I thought my husband was obsessed with building 7 cars for my 2 kid's this year. But let me tell you I have officially joined the club! My daughter won 1st place in all her races last year, and now my son is racing, but the last few days I have totally become addicted. We would love to come to the States sometime to see how you guys race, up here it is rather tame.
