I'm in the dog house

I'm going to blame the UPS guy for getting me in trouble. Lately the wife has been finding me in the shop doing anything and she asks if it's PWD again. Usually it is but that's not the point. I'm getting in deep. I've built a balance test fixture, adjustable steering and weight placement sled, multi axle and wheel test station so far. I've made a couple test ladder cars testing weight and strength. I haven't even set up the track yet.

Uh Oh. My wife got to the door before me when UPS dropped off $120 worth of Pinewood Derby testing supplies. Good thing she didn't see the cash sales lately. Or know how much time I have invested in the "Other" things I've made this month alone (CNC machinist). Oh well got a lot of things I need to learn, try and test.
My wife was helping me fix a PayPal issue. I hear her yell from the other room, "Why are you having things delivered to work?"
uh oh

Of all the things I get involved in Pinewood Derby is the only thing she doesn't understand. lol

You aren't the only one.

I have a wife who not only understands, but supports my racing habit. I know racers who have wives who don't want to hear about it at all. Some of them are to the point where they are only allowed to work after the wife goes to sleep, or is not home.

It would be hard for me to do that. I would get no sleep. Once I go downstairs, I am down there for hours. If I waited till Mrs Mojo went to sleep, I would see sunrises before I am done sometimes.

I guess I am lucky because my wife doesn't complain about derby stuff being everywhere and after Districts she asked me what else we needed to win.

My wife always says...ok we've spent enough.....but then if the kids fall short of first or just barely win she is saying stuff like....well guess we need to get that drill jig or different wheels lol
