Today I went to two different auto supply stores, thinking if Jig is no longer available, maybe I ought to get a couple of extra cans.

Both store managers told me the stuff had been on their benches for ages, with only an occasional sale, then in the last week, there has been a run on it. I went to one store in the afternoon, and was told that someone bought the last two cases in the morning.

Goodbye Jig, hello Blue Thunder

If you have an Ollie's near you they have it cheap!

In fact that is their slogan......Good Stuff, Cheap!

I just stopped at Pep Boy's to get a can of Jig-aloo and they are closing out all remaining Jig-aloo (large orange can) $2.50 each if anyone is interested.

I am having problems with Blue Thunder. I have stored it in the plastic zip lock John shipped it in. When we used it for our Pack Race in January, it was thick but still in liquid form. When I got it out this weekend it was nearly solid like wax. It is stored in a home office desk at a constant 68*. I tried to warm it up by rolling the bottle with my palms, then I tried putting the bottle in warm water. It still comes out of the bottle like peanut butter. Any suggestions?

I have had the same problem, It was very thick when I tried to use it to prep my cars for CFC. It would not flow out smooth and it clumped up. At first thought it must be my application method or maybe the dry desert & lack of any humidity here in Arizona. Ended up cleaning it all off then using Jigaloo. Just checked the bottle I have and it now looks like parafin wax, stuck a toothpick in it and no liquid at all even after shaking (you were right thick as peanutbutter). I have tried heat to warm up axle (helped a little) also tried to spin axles in lathe while warming them up to even it out while I applied it. (still to thick)
Anybody got any ideas.......

Have you guys used it or is this before any use??? What I think is happening is that it is getting applied to the axles and more of the carrier is getting poured out and leaving the teflon portion. I have remixed and it is not drying up as it sits. I am working on a new formula right now. I will be glad to send a new bottle to those of you having problems. PM me with shipping info.

I've had it happen both ways. The first bottle I had was used. The replacement you sent was never opened and I just noticed it has dried up.

Alcohol was my thought last night too, since some of the industrial dry lubes use alcohol for its medium. I just do not know if it will break down too much to use.

John,
My Blue Thunder was thick when I cut the tip off the bottle (It was very well shaken). Never could get it to drip on axle then flic or shake off. Always looked like I dripped wax from candle on axles. Even tried applying while spinning axles in lathe. Gave up and used Jig-a-loo for CFC. Today was first time I opened bottle since then (was in zip-lock bag).
