Jig a loo

Thanks for the response John. Between the instructions you sent with the new applicators and my DVD I think I'm set. What's the blue thunder you reccomended? I haven't heard of it.

Thanks,
Jimmy

Sorry for kicking off this discussion guys. I just thought from the way the posts read that John's process had changed from the video and it was open knowledge. I wouldn't ask any racer to give away their hard earned process. The Internet is great, but sometimes it is so easy to assume you know what is being said, when it ain't so!

There's absolutely no reason to be sorry. My reply was meant to encourage you to keep on keepin' on, and let you know that some of those questions will go unanswered. If you know what I mean? It never hurts to ask. What's the worst answer you can get? No! In that case you're no worse off than you were to start with. lol /images/boards/smilies/wave.gif

Hi guys, 1st post. I have read many forums and have tried some silicone spray in the past, which destroyed my wheels (oops). I am currently using coaches secret lube, which seems about equal to graphite in performance but lasts longer and has no mess. We have to use dry lube in our pack race. Any non-secret info, basic info on Jig a loo? So, I see it is a silicone type spray. Is it being used as the sole lubricator or as a prep for oil? Are you using it on axles and wheel bore? Any basic direction I might go would be appreciated, I don't mind putting in the time to test. Thanks.

the jig a loo is the final step in the axle prep . DO NOT USE IT ON THE WHEELS, IT WILL DESTROY THEM it is for the oil process, i do not know about the graphite, but i dont think it will help with graphite. it may work with the coaches lube ??
there are others who are graphite gurus, they can help more than i can.

I see. I may try it prior to putting on the coach's lube, although coach's lube does have alcohol in it, it may just make a mess. Or it could end up being the newest secret! Easy enough to try. Thank you.

ok , dna i have a ?. so after you put your oil on then you put jig a lube or blue telflon, i have the basic instruction from dd4h when i got the krytox. but i havent got the confession video. I will soon. Do u use liquid wrench or krytox??

you spray the jig or blue Teflon on the axle first, let it dry then oil and then put it all together, i have always used Krytox.

Just found out that Jig a Loo is a discontinued product. All you can get is what is left on store shelves. This according to Advanced Auto Parts and Pep Boys in the Houston area. Jig a Loo website doesn't have any either.

would anyone post a pic of the jig a loo or a product/part #. I think I found it on line but im not sure if it is the correct product???

It seems some of the pep boys have some left. I found 5 cans in houston, if I get time I'll pick them up. seems like a can should last quite awhile.
