A lot of people have new ideas. Some good, some not as good. But, why does it seem like the majority of these ideas hinge on someone else doing all the work to make it happen? IMHO this usually falls on John, he doesn't complain but I don't think it's right. He already does a huge amount of work to make things as good as they are. As a matter of fact he does a better job at it and adds more to it than anyone out there. Lets just let things be and if we have an idea maybe we should talk to the person who has to implement it and make it happen. Just my two cents!

You are obviously referring to the Pinks All Out Thread. Its states it has not been discussed with John in the opening paragraph. Its just an idea, who knows it may even be a source of revenue for the shop. I'll be sure to run my ideas past you first next time.

That's definitely not the only thing I'm talking about. It's not my responsibility to make these things happen. But, a lot of people think that all these things are easy when they may not be. I sure didn't mean to put you down Reso. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

Its all good, everything is cool /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif. I'm as guilty as the next person for rambling stuff off for the league. The last thing I would want to do is create a situation that would be a time drain on John. Trust me I know what an awesome job John does with the races and forum. As well as the racers who volunteer the day of the races to make everything happen. I totally see where you are coming from....peace.

Here's a question, Did you clear this post with John before you posted?

IMHO I love ideas and out side the box thinking. It is what leads to success, and improvement. Dumb or good keep the ideas coming. The good ones will continue and the bad will fall by the way side. One thing I would say is don't expect change over night, Kinser is right about of time and effort that is involved in getting something new going.

No I didn't clear it with John. But, I am not requiring him to have to do anything either. I'm not trying to squash the ideas, I'm just wondering why most of them require someone else to implement. Just trying to bring some people to realize that it doesn't just happen, it requires work by other people. Sorry if this thread is so offensive to others, I was just trying to get others to think about it. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

The way I see it is there are some perks and disadvantages to every job. I believe John has a pretty good handle on it. One of the disadvantages for him is building a open league where the racers come up with the ideas. The advantage to that is the success of the league. I believe he is more than capable of providing growth and enjoyment for the racers at the NPWDRL. I have had ideas like mad this month!!! Some proved good some not so much, even with his heavy load he has been able to try and improve on some of the ideas. I'm sure he'll let me and others know when it is no longer wanted.
