Hey guys,

I've been lurking for awhile and wanted to introduce myself.

I'm playing around with frame designs and looking forward to building my first couple of cars. Attached is a modified version of a ladder frame I'm kicking around.

Any feedback would be appreciated as I'm certainly no guru of gravity.

Ok, you asked for feedback and this is just being nit picky. The body looks to be very well made.
I don't like a rounded nose on a car because they can be difficult to properly stage. Also, if the car is running off center it could cost you a few .001's as the tip of the car will not break the beam of the timer.
Last would be if you left enough rail thickness to narrow the car? The rails may be a bit thin after you narrow the body to get the car to ride square.

Like I said, this is being nit picky and the body does look really well made.

Good feedback on the nose HurriCrane. I was having other issues with the nose design so it will be getting a nose job. Didn't think about on the lost .001's on the nose not hitting the beam straight on. I'll also change the circle cuts to squares just big enough for a weight.

Rocket Car, I'm just starting to play with the Laser cutters. I've done vinyl for karts and cars over the years and now have a 3D printer to play with. So the software is very similar. I think I'll burn in a line for the axle placement so its easier to drill. I haven't gotten goatboys tool or the Silver Bullet just yet but its next.

The Laser cutter actually is free to use at a library down the street from my work. Sometimes its better to be lucky than rich I guess. but I'd love to try the other some day. ;-)

I'm thinking my first builds will be Box Stock and BasX that sound about right. Although those street rod's are making me want to do models again like I did as a kid.

I'm in the Kansas City area, any suggestions for a place I can test on? I'd reach out to our BS council but I'm blessed with daughters vs sons so I'm a bit out of the loop on that world.
