After a busy weekend to get the families cars finish off it's finally over. Box is packed with shipping labels done ready to go the the post office to run NPWDRL on April 12th and then Mid America.

It's been fun and out of the 10 or so bodies we've got 4 ready and only broke 2 during the final wheel install. But think we were able to salvage them. Looked good on the tuning board and I think we may have at least one that comes within a few car lengths of the back of the pack.

Thanks for all of the information. I'm sure I'll learn a lot from the results of this

Forgot to take any finished pictures or any of the wife and kids cars but have one of mine during construction.

Yes I relaxed the wheels but before installing the delrinn washers. It was a little snug and while pressing in my hand slipped and cracked it some. So I went back and reamed all the rest and went smooth. My sons car was a little different while routing the body he hit the front axle hole of what was planned to be the DFW so we decide to make the other side the DFW. Then while sanding the 1/16" inset we sanded the wrong side so everything was slightly wonky but he really like the way it looked so we took some off the DFW and rolled with it. The NDFW was a pain to install because I basically used glue to hold it up and out with some axle bend but seemed pretty secure after drying and ran down the board smooth.

My wife's car was awesome then realized it was about 1/16 over 7" so to be safe and not get DQd before it even ran I snipped a chunk off the front and it went "ok". Front is a little "soft" so I'm nervous how itll take the stop strip.

My Daughters car I think will be good though. So we should be able to get an idea of how bad the slip ups and different tuning things worked. Definitely an experimental race for us.

Excited for popcorn and watching the live stream Friday.

Fun! I just sent in my first box stock for Friday's race - thinking of trying BASX Am in June...

Breaking during final wheel install? That's a heart breaker...Do you relax your axle holes after you drill?
I think I saw a post you made on one of the Facebook sights. Good luck this weekend

So the broken cars were the fastest. And my 10 year old smoked me so back to the drawing board (Gotta get some wheel and axle prep tips from him lol). Can't wait to get the cars back and do some more improvements.

Same here had a few wiggles. Really gotta dissect what went right and what went wrong. The car I expected to be the fastest was nearly the slowest so definitely something there.
