For the last 2 days I have been working on the Frost Topper... Wet sanding and trying to get the body ready for paint... Tonight it seems I have found yet another bad spot of primer ... Got this one last area removed and hopefully I can shoot one color going with pin strips color... With the time crunch this month I have pulled one color as Rustolelum is not in my favorite paint... I just pray the paint does not cause me any issues....

How does the Duplicolor shoot.. does it have a fast dry time... ??

Got the body in front of portable heater tonight Far Away so only warm air blows over the car ...
I have two really solid coats of Rustolleum primer they were fogged on and than heavier .. I normally have no issues shooting it ... This one is a thorn... so dropping the white going one color and pin stripe the secondary color ..

Went to Auto zone for the first time and seen a nice big wall of Dulicolor ... Think I will try this out one next project..... I have shot WalMart cheap paint with not issues and it dries quick just not enough colors....

Most Duplicolor paints are lacquer! Goes on smooth three lite coats! Can handle in 2 or 3 hours! Three coats of Duplicolor clear and your good to go! Model Master Paint is a good one! I have had great luck with both products! Fast drying and great looking paints and lots of cool colors!

I like these Tamiya model paints that i found at my local hobby store....fast drying, laquer based, glossy finish, bunch of colors and is a smaller can so easier to manipulate when spraying.....but definitely more expensive than the rustoleum at my local Lowes or city mill.

If I can find a autobody shop with duplicolor I may try that out next time too.

I like Rustoleum primer and paint much better than Krylon. Krylon paint is super picky about the primer, it has to be Krylon primer and is more temperature sensitive in my opinion. It will crack badly if it is not warm enough.

Some lacquers will re-act to pin striping tape and the lacquer will lift when you try to re-adjust your pinstriping. Just my experience. Autozone has some pinstriping tape for $2.99.

I have never used air brushes, my wife will kill me if I start buying that stuff now. I would like to though, paint seems much more uniform with less bubbles.

I have heard nothing but good about Duplicolor. Just my .02, have fun!

I pay little regard to the brand of the paint. Rarely do the cans specify that they are lacquers or not. So I look at the painting directions. If it says "recoat any time", you're golden. If it says "recoat before 1 hour or after 48", PASS.
