To be honest, this build is all new to me. I love the look and had to try it after watching LB destroy the track record. He is the expert on this as it is his design. I'm hoping to learn from this build and improve on future builds. If it is respectable, I'll send it in for the January race...

LB is correct. It does take FOREVER to make a car like this. I counted about 20 hrs or so to make the body. It also depends on how anal you are.

Do the same building routine, but use one of DD4H's X-bodies. Better flex strength, but same body weight. However do make extra cavities B4 and After the Front Axle. You might consider a horizontal strut in the middle of the hole on the front two cavities. But this is really a beautiful car. What were the top and bottom covers? MonoKote? Or something else?

I noticed you went with a ladder style body, but added structural support with birch ply (or something similar) cut in a half moon shape running along each rail. Interesting...
