The class never evolved so Chief won!!! Anyone going to this extreme is a ok in my book.

When we saw that pic I think we all wanted to cry ....

GravityX... Your fastest cars are built the day before they are sent out, but don't procrastonate?! You must be a good builder to get all that done in 1 day
Right!
As Gravity X always says:
" never put things off until the last minute"
24 hours is more than enough time!
Paul probably has time left over to give the pAint in the living room a freshening up.

Let's see!

Krylon paint hates the cold! Dull router bits like to eat cars, and dogs like to eat them too! Don't let your kid carry his car in his hand at Districts, get him a nice box from DD4H. He will drop it right before handing it in and things will break! Getting paint on the deck makes wives angry. Angry wives don't let you order PWD stuff and women don't think PWD is an essential part of the budget. Silly wives!

Chief- I hear you on all of this.... I still try to add my PWD Line items to monthly budget... No Can Sneek it by her... She got an eye for that Non Essential spending right now... It kills me tooooo .... But I still get to hang with the best of the best on here.... SO I can't complain to much...

I do say she is more open then before... She does not yell Hell No!! She simply marks it off the budget with a smile.....

BANG!!! oh there it went my balloon was just popped... No no more kiddos .. LOL... something just hit me... 3 kids all wanting to go to College... Hmmmm....

Chief did use the insurance money and built a newer (and beautiful car), the "Flame Retardant".
Ouch!

Hey Mofast,

You just tell your wife:

"Honey, my Sally Hansen nail polish is very essential"

OH ya I was super depressed to find my melted SR car, but if you click on the red letter flame retardant you will see a better and unmelted version...HAHA

a lot of times it minor things I forget. I had a set of wheels last race that had sat awhile before I assembled. the bores needed blown out. I forgot. one time a flipped the dfw inside out on my SP. fortunately John flipped it back for me to race. This AM I forgot to wipe down the wheels on a couple cars before I sent them. So I was walking through local home center after going to the post office, thinking "Ive read some guys use magic erasers to clean wheels" Oh S$$$!

So many irons in the fire.

Here's something I learned today;
If you're going to test a car on only three wheels, make sure to check the steer so that your DFW drifts into the rail...or get ready for a spectacular sideways slide down the center rail.

I did that once! Broke a corner off the car and put a good gouge in the third timing tower!

91% alcohol and a clean paper towel works well too.

Good one!!

I just recently learned that acetone eats wheels. So its definitely not a good idea to get CA off a wheel by dropping the entire wheel in a jar of acetone. Of course, I would never try such a thing ... Just relaying that to others who might try.

You know something is wrong with your car. But since you don't have a track to see how bad it is, you send it in anyway.
