List your top 3 tools/products

I am a little surprised that nobody has mentioned a test track.
Ahhh my good buddy Freaky said
"The block.....proxxon drillpress .....a “best track” for tuning and testing cars is my favorite tools

I feel these tools or something similar are the most necessary except maybe the test track.....but it definitely helps if you have one

Silver bullet
Dremel
Test track

Dissecting microscope that I had from a class.
IPad for videoing races. It allows me to play the race at normal speed and frame by frame and be able to reverse the footage with my finger. I can see exactly where we won and lost. Plus seeing my kids happy is just a bonus.

It makes laying out your cars sooooo easy!!

The best thing I like is that with a 0.5mm pencil, you can use the holes and slide the square or 90 rule to mark down your car body.

Have you seen Woodpeckers brand rules? They are very nice too, but more expensive. I've got a bunch of them and love them, especially the One Time Tools I've got over the years.

You guys are a bunch of damn enablers ;). I already had a drill press and belt/disc sander (thank goodness). But within the next 3 days I'll also have a Dremel w/ workstation, scroll saw, a SBX, and a Incra 6-inch T rule. Oh and I've built a tuning table. Fortunately or unfortunately my budget and garage won't allow for a test track.

We are too ! ! !

I mean... Oh yes we are ! ! !

Wait...

yeah... that is right. LOL

You have a good start to your addiction!

It is funny... I have a track in my 32' x 40' shop out back. As we are approaching retirement age, my wife is keeping here eyes open for houses with room for a track... and when we are watching a show on TV, she will comment "That room would fit your track!"

Something else no one has mentioned but is a life saver I use constantly is tuning pliers!

Even if you use tuning slots, they are a must for inserting axles. If you are building scout cars and tuning grooves aren’t allowed, they are a must and make life so much easier.
