Looking for advice/guidance

Hey Brian, We were racing with you today. You had a great car and a great kid!

I looked through your post history and saw a picture of your car, I think we were standing near each other in the check in line!

I suspect the car that won the whole thing (by quite a lot) is a member here as well. While I didn't get a close look at the car it appeared to me it was running the GEE fenders and air sliders that you can buy on DD4H.

We're excited about next year!

Yup, that was me. Somehow, our jacked up car placed 2nd overall.

As for the winner, he said he made all of that with a 3D printer. He was super nice and very open about how he built the car. As for most of the guys I’ve met that are really good at this, he’s more excited about the science behind it than he is about winning.

He’s an engineer. A friend of his (also an engineer) won several years in a row. That friend passed him the blue print. They definitely deserved the W imo. He and his son put a ton of time into that car.

So you guys are the Parkinator!

When I saw your car I knew that you we're going to be competitive. Not like the other folks in line who just painted their block! Though I believe they had a lot of fun.

We had the car together and the Pack race done before I found this place. I think we could build a much faster car right now from all I've learned here!

We just need to find a track here in Charlotte we can test on!

Yes, Parkinator was our car. That was my first car. Very surprised it did that well. Honestly, it must’ve been dumb luck. We didn’t bend axles, do anything to the wheels, rail ride, tune it, etc. Basically, it was a super thin wedge with weights in the back. I didn’t think it was balanced correctly b/c I had to drill so many holes in it to get it to make weight. The weight was about 4.6. It took me so long to get it under the 5.0 that I got impatient and drilled too much.

Dumb luck may win you the Pack, but your performance on Saturday? I don't think so ;-)! Anxious to see what you do next year!
