I have found the same results in my area. During the events i have put on at a small level. Most will have a story about an amazing pinewood derby maker that has this fast car and the story ends. LOL. It reminds me of the big fish that got away kind of tall tales.

Some guys are happy being a big fish in a little pond. Try your luck at the NPWDRL if you have the courage to step into the deep end! LOL! Racing proxy is a blast.
I will be sending in my first car on 10/22/16, for the Halloween Race. (BASX). Don't smoke me to bad. LOL.

Thanks Skywalker. I see from the attached pictures below your post you are the one to beat in BASX class. I have yet to brake 3 seconds on my track with a BASX car. (3.012) I have also just started using oil for the first time. And i have read in other posts that each track can run different times. can not wait to see how my first oil BASX car runs. 10/22/16 seems so far away. LOL.
The league tracks are very fast. I think you'll find it quite easy to go sub 3 in a league race. Good luck to you!
