I just ruined my 50X glass for checking out wheel bores and axle polish.
Mine was something purchased from Amazon, and although it was very tiny, it worked OK.
I am ready to buy a replacement.
I want something between 50X and 75X that really works good in seeing flaws and micro debris.

What are the rest of you (who are happy with whatever you have) using, and what was the approximate price and source?

I went nuts and got something easy to use for Cubs. It has both a top and a bottom light. The bottom light is very good for bores. Also- orange wheels let more light through so I get lots of them.

I also added a set up to put the veiw on computer to make instruction easier.

Man, that's over the top! I use a 60x pocket scope with LED I got from Dale and it shows pretty detailed imperfections on my axles even after submicron polishing with lapping paste. I'd like to know whats that microscope John uses on the DVD.

10x loup for John. Had it for a long time. I thought about something stronger but this shows me what I need to see.

Stonecold nicknamed me " Mr. Magnifying Glass " back at the last race in Kentucky, so I feel like I am a bit of a expert
smile
I agree with " Mr. Quicktime " a 10x lets me see everything that I need to see....SPIRIT.....
