Its time for a Reso thread:

The NPWDRL has arrived and resistance is futile! The next stop on the map is the "Rocky Mountain Speedway", our birth place and home of the DD4H Pinewood Performance Shop! As we prepare to invade Utah, madness will take over the league!

Will the new title wave of rookies prove to be too much for the vets to handle (18 Rookies have made a debut this season)

League excitement has given birth to some new teams. The "Ca$h Money Killas" are possibly the most dangerous force the Pinewood Derby world has to offer. And just when you thought is was safe to hit the track the "East Coast Mafia" has issued a hit on the entire league. March Madness will be round 1!

The unlimited class has
blowup
! Will March be The Revenge of Freak or will the Kinser Machine continue to Strike Back! Or maybe Goat Boy will show why he is a Bearing Tribology Master!

The Eliminator class has taken on a new Spirit.....and I mean a racer. Spirit has stepped out of the shadows with Ninja like skill
ninja
. Possibly the newest rising star in the NPWDRL. I have a feeling this class is about to become a gauntlet of speed.

The Street Pro class has proven to be the toughest meanest son of a bugger to build. Just the thought of making a Street Pro makes racers look for the door. Can this class be tamed........stay tuned.

The Street Stock class has taken on a new life. Some vets have lost their mojo and the Rookie class is showing why they are stacked with talent. It's not about Sub 3 anymore, its just about survival.......50 points will be no easy task this season.

Street Rod Madness has struck and the class has evolved. All CFC Street Rod builders are fresh off of a Stone Cold Beat Down.....and I mean beat down. I have a feeling the saying "Copying is the highest form of flattery" will soon be our motto is this class.

The talent and fun are off the charts and we are only on stop number 3 of the season. Keep it up guys and gals.....the family is growing and there is room for more!

If you got it.....Bring it.....Because March Madness is here!

PS. Pink is the new Red

Excellent write up Reso! I got pumped just reading your post. I am looking forward to March Madness and can't wait to see if anyone new can rise to the top. Kinser has shown he is the current king but there are many racers hot on his tail. NPWDRL proved at the CFC that it is the real deal and anyone wanting to compete with the best racers, needs to have a car in Utah this month! So lets all get to work and BRING IT!

I wish I could write like that.
I hope you are in the marketing or event promotions profession.

Brother M,

Can't say I fancy myself a polished Raconteur, but I do have a few sparks every now and then

Thanks Reso, Now I am all pumped and I have 3 weeks till the race!!!
blowup
I need a piece of wood to take the edge off.

WOW !!! Reso I thought I was fired-up after attending the CFC race, That was quite a pep talk!! Oh man I plan on BRINGING IT .......... Spirit ............

Well got a little fix!! New Street stock drilled, pocketed, shaped, and fendered. Once they get weight I'll put them up against the old ones. I may be a two car debut in March!

Allright NPWDRL.........The box count is rising and so is the excitment! Our home track is primed and the hammer is ready to drop!

Street Stock is getting faster each month! Can anyone break away from the grasp of the Screaming Eagle Talons or will his dominance continue to soar over the track!

Street Pro should be renamed the Black Flag Motel, "Racers check in but they don't check out". Racer averages range from 2.949 to 3.03....enough said!

The Eliminator Class.......its allure is deceiving. You wade out into its calm water, meanwhile Jaws is lurking down below ready to attack. Some may say you need a Bigger Boat!

The Unlimited Class is all about the Yin and Yang of Tribology. If you have not harnessed your Pinewood Derby Chi you are in for a bumpy ride. Five Thousandths of seconds will send you home crying!

What will the madness reveal............tune in Saturday to find out!

That's it!!! No more reading Reso's post. You got me feeling like a kid on Christmas morning!

CONGRATS TO EVERYONE YESTERDAY !!!! I was unable to watch my cars get "Freakd" by everyone, I was at my sons District race yesyerday watching him make history becoming the 1st Scout in TENESSEE to win all 5 District Races he was eligible for. His mom and I as well as the rest of our family were very excited and proud for him!! His pack race was Thursday night, thats when we thought hir run was gonna come to an END when the Pack Leader was unboxing the cars (all cars were impounded on Tuesday the 13th at their last Pack meeting) and proceeded to rip his Legend Carrier open like a kid opening Christmas gifts on Christmas morning..and his car flew out and landed upside down on the table..then he continued to tear the tape off of the front of the carrier which took the waterslide with it as we all stood in disbelief watching this unfold. I would like to think this was not done intentionally..but there was no apology. My son just laughed it off and said " I guess if anyone says anything Saturday at Dist. about the wheels not touching flat, we can blame it on him"
cool
Anyways, he was able to go undefeated at Pack, and at District with the closest race being a heat at Dist. where he won by only 1 -1/2 car lengths. He put 2-3 ft. on that same car in the Finals where he and the other kid were allowed to stage their own cars. Sorry to ramble on about a Scout race, but in 5 yrs. as a scout, he amassed a record on the track (Pack & District) of 74 wins 3 loses. Not too bad. In RECOGNITION OF DD4H we did not find his website until the week before his 2nd District Race.... and after that he has not lost another Heat !!! 67 consecutive WINS !!!!

So, KUDOS to EVERYONE YESTERDAY....AND A HUGE HUGE HUGE THANK YOU TO JOHN.DADDIO. THE MAN HIMSELF, DD4H for helping me help my son make HISTORY !!!!

YOU ARE THE BEST!!

Take Care All,
