Usually there is a thread after every race we many folks congratulate others who won, thank those who worked the race, etc. At times, I had thought it gets repetitive and/or casual and sometimes loses its significance. For me, and I would think this applies to any racer, the "thanks" is always there to all of those involved, race coordinators and racers alike, as it is the only way in which we can appease our extraordinarily eccentric obsession.

Last night, the slow motion video for the March BASX class was posted (I was not able to watch the race live). In heat 5 (or I believe it was in heat 5), my car named "Yellow Sun" made an ugly jump in the flat (thought it was leaving the track) and turned in a record-breaking time over 3 seconds. I was just told by another racer that the cause of the jump was the result of a damaged wheel.

Apparently Joel and company suspended the race and replaced the wheel allowing my car to complete the race. I just have to say thanks to those who repaired my car, as well as to those who were live who may have been inconvenienced due to the race delay. This is why I have continued to race here for about 2 years. It is not just racing, but the folks who you race with. I do not want to suggest that the other leagues would not have done the same, but instead, just convey why the NPWDRL is my home for PWD racing.

**** Thanks to all who race at the NPWDRL ****

Now, if I could just stop "Gold Stripe" from wiggling. It was by far my faster BASX car and threw down a time of 2.971x two times (once in a middle lane and once in the outer right lane). It could have been my first ever top 10 car.

Your welcome! You didn't get to keep the wheel. I was off my BASX car. I'll bring a stock of old wheels to have on hand just in case.

Why not? I'm taking everything back /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

In all seriousness, you should not have to supply wheels (or any parts) for the racers. Just keep Bulldog from tuning my cars....

Joel and Mr.s Q.T run a very professional venue. I had a blast and was very pleased to see the level of detail they give to each step of the race experience. Q.T stages a car way better then I was able to stage my own car. Back to the drawing board on that. B-Reg you did have a great BASX in that Gold Strip car, a little adjust and I bet you'll be there, you got skills man! Watch out for Letemrun and Balistic, these new guys are very fast. Cramjet is hungry and will be moving up in this crazy game. I got to see TRE live with his daughter, I was impressed at his cars, they are clean in every way. TRE will not be satisified unless he is #1, he is one hell of a competitor. I also thought it was a class act to wait for Skippy, he has 2 great cars that were smoking fast!

Thanks BD, I did not realize that. Now if I can get that wiggle out of it, it should pick up a little more. Lot of tuff competition this year. Good to see all the new guys, I hope they keep coming.

Got my cars back yesterday and had a chance to examine the wheel. Before I say what was wrong with the wheel, I did go back and watch the heat in which my car jumped. Yep, the jump looked real back in live action.

One of the rear wheels broke where the hub attaches to the wheel itself. I'm sure it had a real good wobble in it going down the remainder of the track. Never saw anything like that before. I've had cars roll of the table, seen kids shot their cars across the gym floor into a wall, fly off a tread mill, and broke many things, but never did I break a wheel.

Still thinking Bulldog did a violent test and tune session on it. He was there.....
