Well... My impressive list of last place or near last place finishes continues to grow!

BASX AM: last place
Street Pro: 3rd from last place
Eliminator; last place

I've got slow all figured out!

Hehehe. I took last in SS Pro. That was just more motivation for me to make a faster car /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif If placing last or having the slowest times isnt enough motivation for you to want to get faster times, I dont know if this is the hobby for you.

I am terribly sorry guys...Its all my fault, if I would have sent my cars in there is NO WAY you would have placed like that...I will try to do better and keep my position as the gate keeper haha

Mine stunk it up too. Last month I didn't get a bump in speed like I should have from the track mod so I pulled everything off. I am pretty sure I messed up the body at the same time I did the wheel. I didn't loosen one of my axle holes enough and had a hard time getting the wheel off. The outer hub cone got damaged.

I just put in an order for MA wheels, gee fenders, and axle polish. Hoping after my scout's district race I can get 3 good wheels between our two cars. We're building 2 new cars for MA/Nationals.

You don't give yourself enough credit. You came in 7th in BASX Am and beat me (not that its difficult), along with a bunch of others. Impressive. You were a few thousandths from being in the finals. You're also racing Street Pro and Eliminator, which is where the "Big Dawgs" play. I have no intention of ever going there until I can step up my game in BASX and SS. Definitely no shame in losing there; in fact, I commend you for competing.

Cheer up - I'm looking to give you a challenge at MA.

Steve, I'm right there with you.

Last month my SR, the Calliente, bounced of the rails over the entire flat to almost last place (I think Opa sent in one car just so I wouldn't suffer the last place). Our troop had our Pinewood Grand Prix last week, and I took the opportunity to use the track to tune the Calliente. First pass was a 2.49h (h-high) with lots of wiggling. A few steering adjustments later, and it was running true and turning in mid-2.47s. Awesome! I figured that would put me into the meat of the SRs, running 2.96xx.

Nope. The car ran straight, looked good, and averaged out to be 2/10000s slower than last month. /images/boards/smilies/eek.gif

I am still shaking my head in disbelief, and depressed by this turn of events. I have to assume that I got a Post Office tune-up. Maybe I'll see what got changed. Maybe not. Crud.

Hang in there Steve. There is only one way to go when your down and that is back up. Keep trying. Nats is right around the corner and I know if you did well there it would make up for a few bad months.
