Does anyone have experience running Max-V wheels and how they compare to BSA wheels?

We'll be running a "Pinewood Grand Prix" using the Max-V kits soon. And there is a temptation to participate in the Mid-America Derby in May. Now, I know that AGP wheels are softer and slower than BSA; but I don't know anything about the Max-V yet.

TIA,
- Eric

I have used Max-V wheels in the past. This is the first year using DD4H Dynasty BASX wheels, so are they as soft or do they prep differently? This will be the first time trying DD prep too, but no Red Rocket.

Leaving out the red rocket is leaving out half of the equation. You really need it to get your optimal speed.

if you plan on running a scout, kids or adult car at Mid America you won't be able to run Max V wheels in those classes. It's BSA wheels only. All markings inside and out need to be visible and the outside tread needs to be visible too. No weight requirement. If you want to run Max V wheels at Mid America you'll have to run with the Pros. John's got a set of BSA Wheels just for Mid America they weight 0.92 grams. Give him a shout. I'll either talk to him about these for our cars or just run Nitros.
