Mid America Derby 2014

I just wanted to let all of you know that we have formally picked our date for 2014 - it is going to be May 3rd, hosted again at CLAAS of North America in Omaha, NE - it was an excellent venue. Additional we are purchasing a New 4 Lane Best Track that the Adults & Kids races will be run on - we will be using the 6 Lane Best Track for the Scouts, and the 3 Lane Best Track for the Pro Races. - We have had several committee meetings about things this upcoming year... and I would love to hear any feed back that you have - maybe in creating a new division - or class.

In Additon to the new track we have upgraded our starting gate, stop sections, video steaming of the event... along with many more exciting tweaks to continue to provide an excellent race event and venue for those that attend or send in cars via proxy.

Again - I / We would love to hear any and all input from any of you that you would like to see us address as we are planning and putting things together for this next year... www.midamericaderby.com

Am looking forward again to the race!

The one thing I immediately thought of being that I race proxy for the most part....is the track CAM. Last year there was just that CAM at the finish line and another showing the computer screen. Not sure if its feasible or not but if you've seen the NPWDRL races online, the track CAM starts at the starting line and tracks the cars down the track to the finish line so its really fun to watch the whole run! But someone is manually controlling that CAM so again not sure what is available over at the MA race....and it really only would benefit those of us watching online rather than being there....

Other than that however my son and I had a great time sending in cars and watching them race!
