Does anybody have a screenshot or picture of the top 12 finalists for the MA open scouts graphite race results? Please PM me or post it.

Here you go Maglev, the final standings. I happened to do a quick screen shot when they posted it.

Jr's car came in 7th (gained a spot during final round). We're pretty happy given the beat down put on everyone in the Scout oil class. Those times were unbelievable. We've been super busy lately with kids' activities (daughter made it to state science fair) so this graphite car was put together in minimal time. But even if we'd had more time, there wasn't much more speed in it.

Pretty good day for our first MA. 2, 3, 4 in open scout graphite -wolves. Computer hung up so not sure who got first. Took 6th and 9th overall. Had to proxy this year, wish we could have re-graphited before the finals.

Congrats to E3 (Todd) for nailing 1st place in Mod/Elim and Unlimited in the Pro Division.

Congrats to EggHead Racing who won Pro Stock. NPWDRL was quite well represented and congrats to all the others that really put it down out there !

Looks like my sons car will have some V3 wheels put on it for triple race. Finally got my prep figured out. The car ran well with heavy wheels against (.8 gram) wheels. It was really consistent. The wheels that was on his car was alot heavier then what we was racing against so I'm please with the result. I know there is more speed in the car once I run it on my track & tune it. It was only steer set on tuning board and sent in.. It probably had another 3-4 thousand in it if I could of tuned it but time was a issue so it is what it is. Congrats to all racers
JBD Racing

FYI:: the wheels that was on the car are FORSALE $35

Nice day ..

2nd in Bears, and I believe 6th fastest open scouts oil. Had a fun day! Had fun meeting everyone!

Well Guys-

It was our first Live event and what fun we had... Good peeps to hang out with...

I was able to meet, hang out with several of our racers... Got to say Zeeb and Goat .. You should be brothers ... Really you two are a HOOT!!! Had fun with IAE, MOFAST, Frank (Egg Head), Paul- GX, E-3 -Todd, Greg, and some of the the guys I did not know until yesterday... I was impressed on how many of these cars were super fast and ran very smooth for the Scout and open class... It was just Awesome... My oldest is going to start racing and I have a really new Love for the sport...

Graphite is another world that shows a challenge and I will make this a learning thing for the next 2 years.. Watch out.. The boys cars ran well, stable and I was impressed we were not in the back of the pack.. Well except when my oldest weights came loose..... Note to self GLUE them Beotches in from this point in... Never had any come out... Until last heat.. Go figure..

Guys I had a blast and I know there are several guys on here that are not how they seem online as you only read words and not see the body motion, smiles, and hear comments as I laughed my tail off with them...

Papa V ... Peace Out!!

100 PERCENT CLASS ACT!

Three tracks, NEW stop sections with dividers, cameras, and good people. Well done! Great Venue- Thank you CLAAS of America. All the corporate sponsors. And Chevy Girl .
kisses
(respectfully of course) The PEOPLE really took care to take car of your cars. I was unaware of any mishaps. Hopefully those of you watching at home had a great experience. The people running the cameras were there all day trying to make things great for you too.

Yup IAE, looked like it went mostly pretty smooth. I'm sure it made for a long day for a lot of people. Only hang up I saw was the audio for the Scout track was pretty weak and difficult to hear. We were relying on the audio from the other track feed, but then that was turned off. Had headphones on to hear announcements.

And it looked like everyone was trying to handle the cars the best they could. I can imagine it gets old staging so many heats but I'm glad they tried their best knowing that the one car they might mis-handle could be that on kid watching online and make for a sucky experience.

Also in the crowd: Aircooled, Iceman - committee members, Knotted, Radioactive. Still seems like we're missing somebody.

BTW if Mr. Butterhole was present he didn't introduce himself.

4WheelDrift:

Thank you SO MUCH for posting that screen shot! I was able to watch the races on line most of the day, but our family needed to go to Mass at 4:30 last night, so I completely missed the open scout graphite finish and finals. I knew my son was doing well and thought he'd make finals, but had no idea how he did until I came across your screen shot today. Thanks!

Looks like he tied for 4th. Not bad for a car we had to essentially rebuild in 24 hours due to a poorly drilled rear axle hole on the first car body we made. Luckily we had made an "extra" body for my daughter, who didn't want a "hershey bar" shaped car, so we just re-used that body.

We had fun watching the races online yesterday. The MA team did a fantastic job with the event this year!

Conratulations to all the Scout families who built and raced your own Scout cars. Your hard work and self discipline is well rewarded.

My first post! /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

My son decided at the last second to send in his car to MA. I lathed some new wheels 2 hours before I had to ship overnight.. ugh expensive... We took 14 place overall in Open Scouts Oil and 4th place in Bears. It was really exciting watching the live webcast with my son. We were able to see 4 of the six runs. I think next time we should get some lighter wheels... I think his wheels turned out just under 1.8g each... I did not expect to do so well... We almost got into the top 12! Too much fun...
