Mid America Question -Wheels...

Thinking about bring my son to this one. As I was reading the rules it appears that there's no restriction on lightned wheels. What wheels do you reccomend for this race?

Bought dd4h mid america wheels last year and they were spot on, cant go wrong.

Get another set of wheels to run in the pack and district races because they will get beat up on those tracks. They are not cleaned as well and have burrs in the rails. Those are lightened so much that it makes them fragile and one of my scout's mid America wheels broke at districts. The wheel hub snapped loose from the rest of the wheel.

All Mid Americas wheels are now shipping with a brand new cut. They are 1.2 to 1.3 and still pretty firm. The hub area is also a lot stronger. The new wheels will not break.

John, Are the bumps on the edge of the wheel completely removed? The picture on you website looks like the bumps have been removed.

My understanding is that they have been minimized.

I know! I need to go again! With all of these kids my schedule is hectic.... My youngest is a Bear and I only have 2 more years of Cub Scouts left.
