Modded BestTrack release handle

Polished the teflon inserts and sandwiched them between two polished stainless steel washers.
My biggest problem is the bracket it mounts to,the holes in mine are almost .27". I drilled the one to 5/16" and used an bushing to get rid of the slop.

Thanks to BracketRacer and Owens for the innovations.

On a side note, i didn't expect teflon to be soft and rubbery.

3phase, the shoulder bolt should draw up tight even on the bracket's slightly oversized hole. Is the shoulder too short to fit with the two washers? If you need it lengthened and don't have access to a lathe, send me the whole assembly when you have time and I'll size it for you.

Both washers are 3/8",the one against the handle barely catches the lip of the shoulder. I do not have or access to a lathe so i improvised. Tried regular washers, then went to the thinner stainless steel so i could add and take away.
What i found was the space between the threads and shoulder made it too loose on the bracket for my taste. Thats when i purchased the bushing.
I was worried when i put together and it wasn't free spinning. Once it was one the track with the springs, it worked.
Now on to the solenoid mod.

Added adjustable suitcase closures on each side of each section of the track, FANTASTIC. I think this should be standard on every track.
Can you show a picture of what you did there ?? Thanks !

That's it Gravity, I used one that looks more like the one on the right. Works great /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif
