My first three Rail Rider builds went well! First, the Menard's car belongs to my oldest son Kyle. He has Autism and is a Bear Cub. He picked his own paint scheme for his favorite store which is Menard's. (If he could live there in the garage door opener section he would! /images/boards/smilies/wink.gif) This little speedster took first in his Den, set two track records and was the overall champion out of 75 cars. The second car is the spider web car which belongs to my youngest son Brady who is a Lion Cub. Brady wanted a skin for his car and chose the spider web theme since he loves Spider-man. His car took first in his Den and was third fastest overall. The Autism Awareness car belongs to my wife Jamie. Some may have already seen pics of it through Cygnus Racing's post - thank you for all your nice comments! She did all the work on the car herself from sanding to hand painting. She did this as a tribute car to our son Kyle and all kids and families living with Autism. This car took first place in the open class adults and second fastest overall. Last but not least a big thanks goes to my new friend Tony from Cygnus Racing who I met at the District race in 2012 and who took me under his wing and showed me what it takes to build a winning car. As for me, I was a proud Dad and Husband that day and I didn't know how much fun (and work /images/boards/smilies/wink.gif) goes into building these cars and hope to do it all again next year! We are on our way to Districts and hopefully Council!
