All but one of my son’s runs from this past weekend at the Great Lakes Field Service Coucil race at the Henery Ford museum. He won the bears division and 3rd in the overall grand championship. I did miss one video do to his mom FaceTiming me to try and watch. Lol 3.040 was the best on the first track 2.940 was the best on the second track.
Even though it was 9 pages of rules the basics were any wheel base. Typical 7” length. 2.5g BSA wheels only.’There was a minimum diameter, width and thickness. Stock axles. Checked with a magnet. Did not have to have all for touching. Fenders were legal. There was 56 in the bears division and they had 5 divisions so I would guess there was around 200-250 racers there. They had 4 tracks running most of the day. I only seen about 7-8 of us with fenders.
Just in case you wanted another angle of your son's 1st race! My son also ran in the GLFSC Bear race on Saturday, and that is his car in the orange lane that your son is beating in the video (his car came in 3rd in the Bear division, 6th overall in the championship).
