Now I have more of an advantage with mom when we need to get the right stuff... Just wish she would understand the need for Speed.... I will send the little guy in and have him bat his eyes at her ... LOL ....

I missed the end of year bonus

which killed all plans for this month

... So now back to the drawing board ... The focus will be on little man and his needs .... They have an opening for a one night camp out so he can earn some badges... Now that will happen he is thinking the badge and beads thing is really cool after last night..... So hope he will take everything in stride and do his best... Earn his badges and beads and wear them with Pride!!!

Now trying to get my oldest off the computer and back to Scouts.. They revamped the entire leadership now.. Fresh faces and a lot more kiddos ... I am thinking he and I will try a dad and son night out this Thursday ... They have first aid training from Local Ambulance and Fire Dept ... Anything to give him the things I had NO chance at doing.. I can't live my missed childhood through them.. But they can at least have some hope of seeing something else other than video games all day..

Games are cool don't get me wrong he just thinks it is real life some times and he needs a wake up call!!!!

That's great news V, yeah I know how you feel about the video games. I have the same issue with my 10yr old at times.

i was a big video game junky, particularly with those online multiplayer games....headset, mic, guild the works....played all nights to 2 am with 10 to 15 others online...

then my kids were born and the priorities changed....if at all possible I dont want my kids to get into it like i did....but with all the apps they have for phones and all these ipads and devices...its hard for kids not to get into these things....especially since the school basically made ipads part of the curriculum and all homework and assignments are now downloaded from their site....rather than paper....

boy i feel old sometimes LOL

Yes I hear you there .. I dont have any issues with my kids playing games and winter is more then spring and summer as they LOVE outside... We do fish, and they ride bikes.. Just lately I have got out of Mafia Wars as I was 40-60 hours per week on that and with me trying to focus on them now I want this change.... The kids getting into Scouts or sports gets them to meet others and allows them to build a base of friends they can do things with..

PWD racing I want to do always have since my oldest ran his first race I was hooked. He wants to help build our home track so we can have fun here. When I found DD4H this gives me another chance to be involved and gain more knowledge in this sport. I love the online feeds and chat room.. It is really cool to check out the race and one day I will be in the races with a car not just chat....

SO I hope I did not sound like I was bashing games I was just ranting I allowed my kids to do it to much and that I want him to get more involved in other things....

Thanks

Those were the days ... Be home by dark ... Not any more .. Hate to say it we sit outside when our kids are playing in the yard ... One day we had a friends daughter over and she asked to go walking with the kids ... Some perv pulls up and tells a 13 year old .. "WOW you look good for having 3 kids" ...

Another time some random guy pulled up to our yard and asked my oldest "Hey aren't you so and so kid" my oldest said no and walked away ...

So now I can't see my kids outside without someone being around as there are to many crazy people going into the neighborhoods that use to be safe looking for prey....

All I can say is I PITY THE FOOL.....

Now for some Great News ---

My youngest that joined Scouts three weeks back will be at Blue and Golds Sunday and he will be getting his Bobcat Badge. He was in his big brothers old book and had all requirements knocked out and able to do them all in his first 2 days of reading the book....

I'm so proud of all my kids but this one just a tad bit more right now as he is eager to do well ... This is his first challenge for stepping out on his own...

Sometimes we tend to protect our kids from everything and we can't but have them understand that things will happen and they just grow and move on ...

I can't wait for tomorrow and B&G ... He was so excited he asked the Den Leader if he could have her put his brothers Bobcat badge in his badge holder so he could show his mom he did it.. She did and told him take this one out for Sunday I' am giving you one that you earned and that can go back to your brother as one day we hope to see him around...

How cool she is making his night even more special....
