Nationals wrap up

I know this is delayed. I wanted to take the chance and give a huge thank you to everyone that helped make this one of the best events ever. I had a blast getting to see all the live racers and I especially enjoy getting to meet a lot of my customers. An event this big is hard to pull off and it was almost flawless.

First off a MASSIVE THANK YOU to Stonecold, White Mountain, Mackay and Quadad for helping me put together the nicest track I have ever owned. Stonecold built an incredible starting gate and stop section. I am sure he redefined the standard for stop sections. Rick sanded for hours getting it smooth and shiny! Mario donated his finely tuned electronics to give me control over the gate so I can film and start the races. Mackay built the curve out and made sure the joints were sweet. I for one thought the track ran incredible on its first outing. Still a few tweeks but I was very happy.

Greg, Brian, Shawn, Josh and the gang did an excellent job getting the venue set up and ready to rock. They put in a massive amount of time and the product showed. Thank you for all the donated time you give.

As always I had the best race crew around handling the actual race. Quicktime you are always there helping me my brother. I appreciate it more than you know. JBD, HurriCrane, B_Regal, Bracketracer, Bulldog and Cash, a huge thank you for helping prestage and retrieve cars. It is hard work especially with the track on the floor. Thank you for making the race go smooth.

My laptop had a blue screen fit on the 2nd day and Randy Lisano jumped right in and helped me get another laptop going. Thank you for all your help. Your software is the best on the market!

I want to thank all the racers that raced and supported the event. You get better every year. I hope I can get as fast as you one day!

A huge congrats to all the winners. HurriCrane and JBD really put on a show. Truly dominating.

I am already thinking about next year! We already have some new ideas brewing.

John, maybe next year some of us can run camera and give you a break (I know its not as easy as it looks), because you are truly missing the best part of the event. I know you had a chance to go out to eat with some of the folks in the evening (and left me with the Mrs /images/boards/smilies/biggrin.gif), but I'm not there to race. If I was, I would have mailed my cars....

Hard to dispel Joel for any period of time though; I don't know many who can stage a car as well, repetitively, as he can.

I already have my proverbial tickets for next year.

Looking forward to the video so I can (hopefully) witness the B Regal Roar. Right now I'm imagining it something like the Howard Dean yell. /images/boards/smilies/wink.gif

It was a great time !

And it really was amazing having so many racers all in one spot at the same time ! It truly was a treat meeting each of you !

Next year? Mrs Mojo already said... "We are going next year... right?"

Kinda takes the fun out of begging to go... but yeah... we are already making plans for it !

As a person who bores easily, it's difficult to find an event in which I don't have at least one moment of boredom. In fact, I don't remember the last time that happened. There was so much to take in, so many people to meet and things to talk about, prize drawings, events for the scouts and my girls, and, last but not least, so much tuning to do after the race since I don't have access to a track. There was not one moment of boredom!

I appreciate you letting me use your nice new track to get my cars dialed in John. I already knew you run a good honest business with great products, but it was also good to meet you in person.

It was cool meeting you too! A lot of the time the highlight of going to a race is playing on the track after it is over. That was one of my favorite things.

Thanks John, it's a highlight for me and my family, and we truly enjoy doing all this to bring our small community together once a year, and this year we all did come together. I look forward to next year but need to spend more time on cars next year as my son is aging out and we want to leave on a high note. I got to interact briefly with lots of you and I wish it could have been more. I just want to Thank you all for your dedication to our wonderful hobby. See you in 2017.

I'm happy to help anytime!

Thanks to GX too, he was helping to retrieve cars also!

I'm really glad everyone had such a great time. it was super seeing old friends and making ones. Our community is small and to have so many make the trip to the Nationals underscores the quality of the event. John, your new track set-up was outstanding and fast, thanks for everything you do to make this hobby what it is. Look forward to seeing everyone next year and having another great event.

Gravity X! I truly apologize! I did not mean to leave you off that list. Thank you a million times over. I know how hard it is to bend down and grab the cars from the floor.

Yes, but it's easier than asking him to bend over and grab his ankles.
