Im wanting to step up my game on car appearance and using an airbrush setup seems to make allot of sense. ive tried labels but havent been completely happy with the results. Who was the racer that used to make those works of art with the flames? I cant find him in the current list of racers.

starting out Im just planning on doing basecoats and using stencils for whatever I want to add followed by clearcoat. any advise would be appreciated.

Hey that's pretty slick. There's another site that he sells dvds on how to make great flames. I think I'm just going to buy a regulator and moisture trap and 1/4 " hose and paint and start practicing. I bought a decent dual action gun last night. I might not have everything ready by the Feb race but maybe by March.

if you want really awesome graphics and don't mind not really doing the painting yourself then I think 5 kids posted a really great process for making awesome graphics on cars by getting clear vinyl print sheets and finding graphics that you want online and printing them out on these and then just pasting them onto the car.....you may need to still put a white vinyl/paint background first but once that's done then just stick these graphics on....let em dry and I bet a quick clear spray over it and viola one awesome art job....

the real person to talk to would be 5 kids...again im pretty sure he was the one that posted this as a how to do post a bit back!

However, if you want to paint it yourself then by all means have fun!! I have an airbrush set and myself and the kids have a ball with it for projects....im not good enough to make those really nice flames or shading type pics but still definitely easier than a regular ole brush by hand!
