Hey just wanted to say howdy, just started with the cub scouts and pinewood and I have to say its a blast. My son and I got whopped in the first race the pack had so we built two more cars ( after some searching on the internet ) and I have to say it paid off. The distric race was last month and he won car was undefeted all day I got lucky on the set up but did learn alot about the wheels and axel prep. Just wanted to brag a little on my boy and say I will be around learning all that I can about this hobby ( like I needed another one) thanks guys

Congratulations to you and your son! I remember the first year we got hooked in, and it was the same sort of situation...lots of research that paid off in the end.

Welcome to the board, and hopefully we'll see you and/or your son in a race here too. One thing that's nice about participating here is that it keeps your skills updated, and when you get to next year's race, it will be a breeze.
