New Items New Legend Shipping Boxes!

The old supply has run out so I made a change. There are only 2 problems we seem to have left with the shipping boxes...
1. People forget to put the foam on top of the car. (I am guilty now too!)
solution... glue or tape the foam to the top of the lid so it comes down on the rear of the car to support the weight.

2. The wheels on the cars would hit the sides of the box if the the shipper chucked the boxes around and it would sometimes push the axles all the way in.

The new Legend shipping boxes are now 4" wide!!! No more having to worry about cutting wheel holes into the side of the box. The cost of the foam is going up almost 100% but I am leaving the price the same. These boxes make life easy on the people running the races and they will be by far the best protection for your cars. They will available Monday.

You should with the previous box and probably still with the new box. All of the shippers have bad days and mishandle boxes. I would not leave all of my hard work and effort in building and tuning to chance with the shipper. Better safe than sorry.

I have had better luck by putting a FRAGILE sticker on the shipping box, i.e. the box containing the individual car boxes.

You should always put the little boxes into a bigger box with a layer of cushion.

Also on the layer of cushion make sure it compresses a bit so the outside box can dent without stressing the inside box. What do folks use between the two boxes?
