Hello,
So I decided to make my own Silver Bullet. I know DD4H is making a new one. So I may end up buying that one as well.
Hope you like this.
I drew out the concept in Solidworks and done the math to see what size it needed to be with which pins would give me the correct cant for any axle degree i wished to drill
I knew i would be making this on our Mazak i300ST Mill Turn machine. So i imported the solid into ESPIRT so i could generate tool path from the solid model.
I had some 4 inch round barstock laying around so i needed to turn it to have less material to mill off.

I then milled the block square.
I drilled relief holes for the pocket to fit the car body in.
Then milled the pocket into the square.
the final step was to mill the 90 degree slots. The i300St has a C axis, so all i had to do was rotate it.
And It was done...
Now...i need to figure out what project I can work on next. Maybe a wheel runout gauge.
Thanks for looking!
