New Street Rod

Opa's information and builds inspired me to try a Street Rod. When I get back to racing in October I will see if it can make it down the track/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

Very sweet!!! I love this class, I wish it had more of a following. That being said I didn't send one in this month the wheel's got put on the new SS. I'll be ready for Oct. though!

Sweet looking car Scott - when I get back to building I want to try a Street Rod especially after reading OPA's post.

Question - what do you do your graphics with - waterslide decal, vinyl, or other?

Looks awesome - so basically you end up with a "sticker" that is two thicknesses of clear laminating sheets? Your always have nice looking cars.

Thanks Scott - I really enjoy building cars and am always looking at ways to improve my processes. I have a feeling I'm going to be way behind in speed when I get back to building though - but it will give me something to reach for /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

I was at a Boy Scout campout this last weekend with my oldest and we were hiking the first night one of the younger scouts was lagging behind and complaining (a little).... An older leader scout kiddingly says to him "SUCK IT UP PRINCESS". Inside I was laughing and it seemed to work because there was no more complaining and that scout was never in the back again. Positive peer pressure at its finest I suppose.

I think I'll build another Street Rod and name it "SIUP"..... so now you will know the reason.

The scouts shouldn't talk to you that way Scott, I'm surprised you allowed it?
lol

I figured by October I could convince you to build a Street Rod and that would be my car talking to yours!

I'm not much for that new fangled vacu formed plastic stuff. If I would build one it would be from good old wood (I think?)............I guess it can be wood? I haven't read any rules on the class. Not saying I'm going to build one or not, but it looks like a fun class.
