As 5Kids and MOFAST stated .. one day they will see it as normal behavior...
.. Mine loves I take the kids downstairs and out of her space for awhile .. Sometimes hours on end...
Just make sure to give hugs &
to your wife daily.... Never forget that birthday or Anniversary... or She might forget your cars somewhere....

Every year after the derby ends she will see me working on another car or trying a different body style and I can see it in her eyes. She tells me and her friends that I am obsessed with pinewood derby cars. The funny part is that I am. I am always trying to go faster.

Very good advice Papa V and funny! Although it would not be funny having her forget my cars somewhere. They may end up in my junk drawer that I never knew I had until recently.

Welcome to the forum, this place is awesome. I'm still new and not very good yet. However,this place is the reason my son has won the past 2 years in his pack. I've also been able to help other dads and moms in my pack too with the information I got from here. And yes save up your dollars and don't tell the wife
My wife things I'm a little crazy too and obsessed,but she did actually tell me last month she would rather have me working in my shop in the basement, than sitting on my ass reading Yahoo news/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif I took that as confirmation that spending a crude load of money at "DD4H" was OK. As long as she doesn't know
Now if only I could get a track in my house and hide it!
That is funny! If my wife ever told me that I would assume it would be ok to spend the money for my car and possibly a track. She knows I really want a track and she fears where it might be placed since we remodeled the basement. I just see it as a challenge to make it fit.
