Hi guys, just wanted to introduce myself. My two sons (7 & 6 yo) and I have just formed "Skywalker Racing," and hope to start building cars for league racing soon (maybe a little too late for this year...).
My oldest son and I started our PWD journey last year as Tiger and Tiger Leader. He placed 2nd among Tigers at the Pack race, but 12/21 in Tigers at the District race (52/98 overall at District). We knew next to nothing about PWD racing last year, but had so much fun working on the car and racing!
Here is the 2015 "Camo Cruiser"
Despite the knowledge we gained since last year, and a chance at improving upon last year's District showing, he decided to focus on winning Best Design at this year's Pack race - which he did! Surprisingly, he also took 1st place among Wolves and 1st place Overall too!
I think I messed up by advising him to re-prep his axles before District, but he still finished 7/109 overall. We are now hooked, and my younger son has already started working on design ideas for his Tiger car next year! /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif
Here is 2016's "Poe's Revenge"
We look forward to "meeting" and learning from you guys!
