Nickel plated axles

John's or DW Zinc speed axles work great and fall within the rules. As far as the wheels go, they did nothing to them in terms of any modifications. No balancing, sanding, rounding, etc. The guys just prep them really well. The look my friend got from the second place finisher at this years Council race was priceless. This guy was pushing all of the limits. Two of his wheels were illegal and had to be replaced but he had another set of wheels waiting in the ranks both on the fringe and will be illegal next year when the rules are modified to specify minimum tread thickness. This guy was astonished how his car did not win when compared to the to #1.

Right on triple 7, I've noticed that the zinc coated or my Pinecar brand oxidized a little where I was to rough in sanding so they get stored in a little Krytox befor final prep.
