JBD - I'm guessing that's a stack of miniature scales in the back in the 2nd pix. What brand are they/how much/where'd you get them, etc. I'm in the market.

Nice looking cars I freakin love that name "NIGHT FURY" my kid was watching that movie "How to train your dragon" and there is a dragon in there called "NIGHT FURY". I thought that would be a cool name for a car. Really awesome JBD.

You can also support DD4H and buy your scales from him. Again, we as racers need to support John when ever we can. This will ensure that the NPWDRL will stay around for many years for us all to enjoy. If everyone went out to Harbor freight for everything we may all be sitting home with a bunch of tools with nowhere to race.

Lets all make it a point to support John whenever we can. Here is a link to his scales. If your going to buy several scales, never hurts to see if he will give you a better deal.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I think it is unreasonable to expect people to pay more than double for something to support the NPWDRL. I plan on sending in cars in the future and think it is a great thing John does for everybody, but I am not going to start paying $10 for John to ship me a box of fruit loops.

I had some comments about this, but I didn't want to hijack JBD's thread so I posted them in the NPWDRL section/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

What is the theory behind turning the wheels around?

All of the sub 1.0 gram wheels have such a thin tread that it is better to have the wheels ride on the stiff side of the wheel rather than the flimsy edge. You would find that the car seems to roll fine on that flimsy edge going down a board, but on a track at the curve the flimsy edge buckles and scrubs off speed.

Ah, thats good to know. I have some 1.0 gram wheels, but hopefully they should be ok. You have to run a spacer to turn them around correct?
