no air compressor!

Hey all!

Because of my move I am in a condo and no air compressor or space for a nice one....

Anyone have any recommendations on compressed air cans.....went on amazon and there is a bunch but obviously it cannot contain any "stuff" that would leave a residue or any chemical that could screw up the bores or interact with the wax or oil etc in a bad way....

Ive seen a few past races where I thought I saw compressed air cans used to blow out the wheels etc....

what brand works?

I hadn't realized that canned air could be a danger to bores. I've just been using some stuff I bought at Microcenter.

I think you're less likely to spray out the propellant if you make sure to keep the can upright.

You also might consider one of these?

Wes, take a look at the California AirTools pancake style compressor, they are very quiet. With it running, you can maintain a conversation without raising your voice any. I believe there are several guys on here that can attest to quiet running of these compressors. I do believe there is a thread here that talks about these compressors.

I have a California Air compressor too. Love it. Very quiet. I can finally work on cars after the family goes to bed.

I have a Rollair. It's nice and queit and does a great job. Bullet has one too. I bought it on his recommendation.

I bought an air brush compressor several years back for the wife for cake decorating. It works like a charm for derby work. Small and quiet.

After going online I found some airbrush compressor packages that should do the trick for the time being!
