NYC championships

what were they flagged for?

Wheels were sanded too much, and hubs were coned a bit. The inspector was pretty patient while I swapped out all of the wheels, as I needed to reset everything and re-graphite. My daughter was worried that she wouldn’t be able to participate so I had to reassure her that everything would be fine. She was over the moon when her car passed and said she just wanted the chance to race and have fun.

We had the exact same problem. I didn't read the rules closely enough to even realize that it was a violation. It was surprising to me, considering that you can legally lathe the wheel tread, sand/smooth/polish the wheel tread, cant them so they don't ride flat, but if the edge of the wheel gets slightly rounded in the process, it's a problem.

The tread was still flat, but that little bit of rounding on the edge meant we had to pull the wheels and replace them.
