This is a big oops from what I'm thinking. I just found that I forgot to recap my bottle of DD4H oil the last time I used it. It's been open for over 12 hours. I have to quit working on these cars so late at night. Is it still any good or do I need to get another bottle of it?

Please tell me it is still viable.

Not an expert, but I would venture to guess that it is now more viscous.......if the lid was on but not screwed tight, you should be OK, but not if left wide open.

Having tipped my little jar over and spilling it out twice...sob... I poured what was left into an empty eye dropper bottle. I just ran out after my last RR race. I must have wasted 80% of it to spillage before coming up with the eye dropper idea. A little less precise, but way less accident prone.

I've spilled mine once also, not a good thing. I fixed the problem by drilling a hole in the piece of wood I use to hold my axles. That way the bottle is handy, but not as prone to be knocked over.

aircooled,

good idea im going to do the same thing i spilled mine last time...not a very good feeling...

OMG!! that's why I just bought some more oil this past week. I freakin spilled 50% of mine last month, I was so pisst at myself. I did exactly what you did and drilled a hole in a piece of 2x2 and put in there when using it.

Excellent idea!!! Typically I would prop it up between two items and hope for the best that I would not spill it, been lucky so far. My issue was just flat out absent minded, late night prepping and left the cap off. But you have a great idea and I will be employing it.
